The Sony a7 IV is an all-round full-frame mirrorless camera for people who shoot photos and video in equal measure, from weddings and portraits to travel and YouTube work. This listing is the body only, so the Sony a7 IV suits shooters who already own E-mount lenses or want to choose their own.
The Sony a7 IV uses a 33 MP back-illuminated Exmor R sensor with the BIONZ XR engine. Autofocus covers up to 759 phase-detection points, with Real-time Eye AF for people, animals and birds in both stills and movies. Sony rates the 5-axis in-body stabilization at 5.5 stops (CIPA), and stills run up to 10 frames per second.
Video on the Sony a7 IV records 10-bit 4:2:2 internally, with full-frame 4K at up to 30p oversampled from 7K and 4K 60p in Super 35 mode, and you get S-Cinetone, S-Log3 and HLG for color work. You frame through a 3.69-million-dot OLED viewfinder or the 3-inch vari-angle touchscreen, which makes this mirrorless camera easy to use for filming yourself too.
Sony's US box for the Sony a7 IV includes the NP-FZ100 battery, an AC adapter, a USB-A to USB-C cable, shoulder strap, body cap, accessory shoe cap and eyepiece cup, and the battery charges inside the camera over USB-C. Add a lens and memory cards: slot 1 takes CFexpress Type A or SD cards and slot 2 takes SD cards, with UHS-II recommended for high bit-rate video. The body works with full-frame and APS-C Sony E-mount lenses. See every mirrorless camera we carry.
