Specs and details
Overview
01 · What stands out
Full-frame low-light ability
A 24.5MP BSI sensor and EXPEED 7, with autofocus Nikon rates down to -10 EV.
02 · What stands out
In-body stabilization
Nikon rates the 5-axis system at up to 7.5 stops in the center of the frame.
03 · What stands out
Two SD card slots
Dual UHS-II SD slots let you back up or split photos and video.
The Nikon Z5II body is a full-frame mirrorless camera for photographers moving up from a phone, a DSLR or an APS-C body who want cleaner low-light pictures without a heavy, complicated setup. It suits portraits, travel, landscapes, events and everyday video. This listing is the body only; you add the Z-mount lens of your choice.
Inside the Z5II is a 24.5MP back-illuminated full-frame sensor with the EXPEED 7 processor Nikon uses in its professional bodies. Nikon lists ISO 100 to 64000 (expandable to 50 and 204800), autofocus that detects nine subject types and works down to -10 EV, and 5-axis in-body stabilization rated at up to 7.5 stops in the center of the frame.
The Z5II shoots up to 30 fps JPEG with the electronic shutter, records 4K UHD up to 60p (cropped at 60p) plus internal 12-bit N-RAW, and offers N-Log and Full HD up to 120p. You frame through a 3690k-dot OLED viewfinder or a 3.2 in vari-angle touchscreen, and Nikon says the magnesium-alloy body is sealed against dust and moisture.
With the Nikon Z5II body, Nikon lists in the box the EN-EL15c battery, a USB Type-C cable, AN-DC26 strap, BF-N1 body cap, BS-1 shoe cap and DK-29 eyecup. There is no lens and no wall charger; the battery charges in the camera over USB-C. Plan on UHS-II SD cards for the Z5II's two SD slots. The Z5II takes all NIKKOR Z lenses and F-mount lenses through the FTZ II adapter, with restrictions on some lenses. See every mirrorless camera we carry.
