The Canon EOS R6 Mark III is a full-frame mirrorless camera made for people who shoot stills and video with the same body: weddings and events, sports and wildlife, portraits, and paid content work. This listing is the body only, so it fits shooters moving up from an earlier R6, an APS-C body or a DSLR who already have lenses or want to pick their own.
Canon built the Canon EOS R6 Mark III around a new 32.5 MP full-frame CMOS sensor and the DIGIC X processor. Stills run at up to 12 frames per second with the mechanical or electronic first-curtain shutter and up to 40 with the electronic shutter, and a pre-continuous mode keeps 20 frames from just before you fully press the button. Dual Pixel CMOS AF II covers the frame with up to 1,053 zones, which helps this mirrorless camera track fast subjects.
In-body stabilization is rated by Canon at up to 8.5 stops at the center of the frame. For video the Canon EOS R6 Mark III records 7K RAW at up to 60p internally, 7K Open Gate at up to 30p using the full sensor, oversampled 4K at up to 60p and 4K at up to 120p, with Canon Log 2 and Log 3. The body has water and dust sealing and a shutter that closes when the Canon EOS R6 Mark III turns off.
In the box with the Canon EOS R6 Mark III, Canon packs the LP-E6P battery, the LC-E6 charger, a strap, the body cap, battery cover and shoe cover. Add a lens and cards: one slot takes CFexpress Type B and the other takes SD cards up to UHS-II, so you can record RAW video to the fast card and a backup to the SD. The Canon EOS R6 Mark III mounts RF and RF-S lenses directly, and EF lenses with a Canon mount adapter. See every mirrorless camera we carry.

Is it for you?
Good for
- Wedding, event and portrait shooters who deliver both photos and video
- Sports and wildlife photography that needs fast bursts and tracking AF
- Video creators who want internal RAW, Open Gate framing and 4K 120p
Not the right pick if
- You want a small, light everyday camera
- You only shoot casual photos and do not need pro video or 40 fps bursts
What the maker made it for
- Canon presents the R6 Mark III as a pro-level hybrid camera for portraits, events, wildlife, sports and social media production.
Tips
- Use the LP-E6P for full performance; Canon notes older LP-E6N and LP-E6NH packs work with limits, and the original LP-E6 does not.
- Keep the card and port doors closed so the sealing can do its job, and wipe the body dry after rain.
- 7K RAW needs a fast CFexpress Type B card; check the card's sustained write speed before a shoot.

What video can the R6 Mark III record?
Canon lists 7K RAW at up to 60p and 7K Open Gate at up to 30p inside the camera, oversampled 4K at up to 60p, 4K at up to 120p, and Full HD at up to 120p, with Canon Log 2 and Log 3.
What memory cards does the EOS R6 Mark III use?
It has one CFexpress Type B (2.0) slot and one SD slot that supports UHS-II. 7K RAW video goes to the CFexpress card, and the SD slot can hold a backup or a smaller sub file.
