The Canon RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM is an L-series standard zoom for EOS R series cameras. It covers full frame, so on bodies like the EOS R6 Mark II or R5 it goes from 24mm wide to 105mm short telephoto, keeping the same F4 maximum aperture at every focal length. The 24-105mm F4 L also fits APS-C RF bodies such as the R7 and R10, where the 1.6x crop gives a view similar to about 38-168mm.
Canon's design uses 18 elements in 14 groups, including three glass-molded aspherical elements and one UD element, with Air Sphere Coating to reduce flare and ghosting and a 9-blade aperture. The 24-105mm F4 L was the first L-series lens with Canon's Nano USM, which focuses fast, smoothly and almost silently for stills and video.
Optical image stabilization in the 24-105mm F4 L is rated at up to 5 stops (EOS R at 105mm), with Dual Sensing IS for stills and Combination IS working with the camera's electronic IS for video. It focuses as close as 0.45 m (1.48 ft) for up to 0.24x magnification, and a separate control ring changes aperture, shutter speed, ISO or exposure compensation without taking your eye from the viewfinder.
The Canon RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM weighs about 700 g (1.54 lb) and measures about 83.5 x 107.3 mm; filters use the 77mm thread.
