The Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) 2-Pack holds two cameras, so you can cover two rooms, or a room and a garage, from one Ring app. Each camera records 1080p HD video with color night vision, sees 115° across (143° diagonal), offers two-way talk with noise cancellation and has a siren you can sound from your phone.
Each Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) has a manual privacy cover attached. Slide it over the lens and Ring turns off both the camera and the microphone; slide it back when you want to watch again. You can also set privacy zones, turn off motion alerts or audio recording, and set a motion schedule in the app.
Each Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) sits on a table as shipped or mounts to a wall or ceiling on its swivel base. Each one plugs into a standard outlet with its own 10W adapter and 6.5 ft cable, and connects over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, so a 5 GHz-only network will not work. The photos show one color; ask us which color you will get.
Without a subscription you still get real-time alerts, Live View and two-way talk on both cameras of the Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) 2-Pack. To save, review and share recorded events you need a Ring Home (Ring Protect) plan, sold separately; Ring includes a 30-day trial with a new device. Do these cameras work without a Ring subscription?
Yes. Without a plan you still get real-time alerts, Live View and two-way talk, and the app shows the last captured image. Saving, reviewing and sharing videos needs a Ring Home (Ring Protect) plan, sold separately. New devices include a 30-day free trial.
How does the privacy cover work?
The cover is attached to the camera. Slide it over the lens and Ring turns off the camera and microphone; slide it back to turn them on again.
Does the Indoor Cam use 5 GHz Wi-Fi?
No. Ring lists 802.11 b/g/n on 2.4 GHz only, with a recommended upload speed of at least 2 Mbps.
Can I put the two cameras in different rooms?
Yes. Each camera is a separate plug-in device with its own adapter and cable, and both show up in the same Ring app.
