The Canon EOS R100 double zoom kit gives a new photographer two lenses and a bag in one box. The RF-S 18-45mm covers everyday wide-to-normal shots like family, travel and food, and the RF 75-300mm reaches far subjects such as kids on the field, airshows and backyard birds, about 120-480mm in full-frame terms on this camera. It suits first-time camera buyers, students and parents who want more reach than a phone, with the EOS R100 body at the center of it all.
The Canon EOS R100 is the smallest and lightest body in Canon's EOS R line at launch, about 12.6 oz with battery and card. The EOS R100 uses a 24.1 MP APS-C CMOS sensor with the DIGIC 8 processor and Dual Pixel CMOS AF with face and eye detection over up to 143 zones. It shoots up to 6.5 frames per second, and there is a built-in flash.
For video the Canon EOS R100 records 4K at up to 24p from a cropped area of the sensor, Full HD at up to 60p and HD at about 120p for slow motion. You frame with a 0.39-inch OLED viewfinder or the fixed 3.0-inch screen. The EOS R100 body has no in-body stabilization; the 18-45mm has optical IS, while the 75-300mm does not, so use a fast shutter speed or a tripod at long focal lengths.
Canon's list for the Canon EOS R100 double zoom kit covers the camera, the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens, the RF75-300mm F4-5.6 lens and the ES-200 camera bag; the body package also includes the LP-E17 battery, LC-E17 charger and a neck strap. Add an SD card (the slot supports UHS-I). The camera takes RF and RF-S lenses directly and EF or EF-S lenses with the Mount Adapter EF-EOS R, so the EOS R100 can grow with you. Tips

Which lenses come in the Canon EOS R100 Double Zoom Kit?
This kit (Canon item 6052C111) includes the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM and the RF75-300mm F4-5.6, plus an ES-200 shoulder bag. It is not the older kit with the RF-S55-210mm lens.
Does the EOS R100 have image stabilization?
The body has no in-body stabilization, as Canon states. The 18-45mm lens has optical IS; the 75-300mm lens has no stabilizer, so a fast shutter speed or a tripod helps at the long end.
Does the Canon R100 shoot 4K video?
Yes, 4K at up to 24p, taken from a cropped area of the sensor and focused with contrast AF. Full HD goes up to 60p, and HD records at about 120p for slow motion without sound.
What memory card does the EOS R100 use?
One SD, SDHC or SDXC card in a single UHS-I slot. For 4K, Canon calls for a card rated UHS Speed Class 3 or faster.
