The Tamron 18-300mm Nikon Z lens (18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD) is one zoom that goes from wide to super-telephoto. It is designed for APS-C (DX) Nikon Z cameras such as the Z30, Z50 and Z fc, where it covers a 27-450mm equivalent range, so one lens can handle a street scene, a portrait and a bird on a far branch. On full-frame Nikon Z bodies the Tamron 18-300mm works in DX crop mode.
The Tamron 18-300mm uses 19 elements in 15 groups, including LD and hybrid aspherical elements, and BBAR-G2 coating against flare and ghosting. A VXD linear motor drives autofocus quickly and quietly for stills and video. On the Tamron 18-300mm, VC (Vibration Compensation) steadies handheld telephoto shots, which matters on DX bodies without in-body stabilization. At 18mm it focuses as close as 0.15 m (5.9 in) for 1:2 magnification, and 0.99 m (39 in) at 300mm.
The barrel of the Tamron 18-300mm has moisture-resistant seals, a fluorine-coated front element and a zoom lock that keeps it from extending while you carry it. The Tamron 18-300mm Nikon Z version weighs 635 g (22.4 oz), is 127.6 mm (5.0 in) long and takes 67mm filters.
A flower-shaped hood and front and rear caps come with the Tamron 18-300mm, and its firmware can be updated with the TAMRON Lens Utility software and a cable sold separately. If you shoot full frame without DX crop, or need a bright constant aperture for low light, ask us about other lenses. See every camera lens we carry.
