Specs and details
Overview
The Hiboy BK1 is an electric balance bike for kids aged 3 to 5 who weigh up to 77 lb. Its maximum speed is 9 mph, and a parent can choose between two speed modes. The motor is a 100 W brushless unit that starts gently, and the bike weighs only 17.6 lb, so the child can also ride it with the motor off like an ordinary balance bike.
The seat adjusts in a few seconds as the child grows. Braking uses an electronic rear brake plus a mechanical brake, and the handles and footrests are anti-slip. A 25.2 V 2 Ah battery gives a maker-rated range of up to 5 miles and charges in 3 to 5 hours. The Hiboy BK1 is rated IPX4. A helmet and an adult nearby are advised.
