These Cyber City partner program terms are for people who share their own Cyber City code and link with their followers. They explain who can join, what your followers save, what you earn, when you are paid, and how to share honestly. How the program works, in short: Become a partner.
In Short
- You need a Cyber City account, you must be 18 or older, and the store approves partners, usually at once.
- Your followers save, and you earn a commission, in the departments the store has open. Your partner page always shows the current numbers.
- A commission is due 14 days after the order is picked up or delivered. The store pays once a month, by hand, from $25.
- Your own orders never count.
Who Can Join
- You need a Cyber City account at ecybercity.com. You apply from My account › Become a partner.
- You must be 18 or older.
- The store approves most applications at once. It can also choose to read each application and decide by hand, and it can say no; it emails you the answer either way.
- If the store says no, you can apply again 30 days later.
- Being a partner doesn’t make you an employee or agent of Cyber City. You work for yourself, and you can’t make promises for the store.
Your Code and Link
- When you apply, your code is made from your first name and 3 characters, for example MARIA7KQ. The store may change it before it approves you.
- Your link is ecybercity.com/p/YOURCODE. From your partner page you can point it to any page of ecybercity.com.
- After approval your code normally stays the same, because it’s in your posts. If the store ever has to change it, it tells you first. Your old code and link keep working for 30 days, then they stop.
- Your code and link are yours. Don’t sell them or let someone else use them as their own.
What Your Followers Save and What You Earn
- For each department, the store sets a discount for the customer and a commission for you. Your partner page always shows the current numbers and which departments are open.
- Your code works in every department that’s open. A department that’s closed gives no discount and earns no commission.
- Your commission is a percentage of the price of the items after the customer’s discount. Tax, shipping and payment fees don’t count.
- The store can change the numbers, or open or close a department, at any time. Each order keeps the numbers it was placed with.
When an Order Counts
- An online order at ecybercity.com counts when the customer types your code at checkout, or orders within 30 days of opening your link in the same browser.
- Your link remembers the visit with a small cookie for 30 days. It is part of how the program works, so the store counts it as a necessary cookie.
- A code typed at checkout counts over a link. If someone opens another partner’s link after yours, the newest link counts.
- One code per order. A partner code can’t be used together with another code, such as a friend’s Volts code.
- The store can also credit an order to you by hand, for example when a customer forgot to type your code.
- If an order is cancelled or refunded, its commission comes off; a partial refund lowers it. If the store already paid you for that order, that amount is taken off your next payment.
What You See
- Your partner page shows your clicks, your orders and your money: for each order, its date, its department, the price after the discount and your commission.
- You never see the products a customer bought, or who the customer is.
When and How You’re Paid
- A commission becomes due 14 days after the order is picked up or delivered.
- The store pays what’s due once a month, by hand: Zelle, bank transfer, check or cash at the store. You choose on your partner page, and you can add your Zelle email or phone there.
- If what’s due is under $25, it waits and is added to the next month.
- Your partner page keeps a statement for every month.
- Taxes on what you earn are yours. As your payments for the year get close to the amount the IRS asks businesses to report, the store asks you for a W-9 form, and payments wait until it has it.
Your Own Orders
Your code and link don’t work on your own account or email. Orders you place for yourself don’t earn a commission, under any name or address.
Where You Can Share, and Where You Can’t
Yes: your own social media accounts, videos, website, newsletter, and messages to people who know you.
No:
- coupon, deal or cashback sites and apps, or groups that collect codes;
- paid search ads on “Cyber City”, “ecybercity” or names that look like them, or ads that send people straight to ecybercity.com;
- pretending to be the store, or a page or account that looks like Cyber City’s own;
- spam: messages people didn’t ask for, or comments on other people’s posts just to drop your code;
- fake reviews, or reviews of products you haven’t used.
Say only what’s true. Use the facts on the product’s page, and don’t promise speed, range, battery life, where a product is legal to ride or fly, or prices the store hasn’t published.
The Store’s Name and Pictures
You can say “Cyber City” and use product photos and videos from ecybercity.com in your posts to point people to the store. Don’t change the logo, and don’t make posts that look like they come from the store itself.
Pausing and Ending
- You can leave at any time: tell the store by phone or email. Your code and link stop working.
- The store can pause or end your partnership, for example when a post breaks these terms. A pause stops your code and link until the store turns them back on.
- Commission from orders that counted is still paid when it’s due, unless the order broke these terms (for example your own order, or an order from a deal site).
Changes to These Terms
The store can change these terms. It emails partners before a change starts, and the date of this page changes. If you keep sharing your code after that, you agree to the new terms.
